How the JPG Household
System Works

The household system at St. John Paul the Great was created so that every student would have a place to be known and loved at JPG. Within the household system, students come to know each other deeply, strengthen friendships, push one another toward virtue and ultimately, towards Christ.

JPG’s household system provides the student life infrastructure for our community and creates opportunities for dynamic student leadership.There are five Communities named after different saints of our faith, and each community is composed of two co-ed Households. Each Household and Community are led entirely by students who take initiative to be leaders in our school. Our captains set the tone for the entire school body, they encourage their peers, build up programs within the school, and serve as a witness to Christ in every way. 

Households meet twice a week and all meetings organized by their captains center around the 4 F’s: Faith, Fellowship, Food, and Fun.  Households and Communities also compete throughout the year for the household and community cup which is awarded to the household with the most points at the end of the year. This system builds a healthy rivalry among students, sportsmanship, and ability to challenge one another and be challenged.
