  • The most important role for the Mountaineer community, Search Committee and Board is to pray for guidance, discernment and wisdom as we seek a new President.  Also, please pray for qualified candidates that they would feel led to apply and pursue this opportunity.

Additionally, the JPG community is invited to actively participate in the search process through various opportunities designed to gather broad input and engagement.

Partners in Mission will distribute a community-wide survey to gather perspectives from parents, guardians, students, faculty, staff and alumni on the qualities and priorities they desire in the next President.

Finally, while it is the hope of the Board and Presidential Search Committee to invite representatives from our faculty, student body, parents, guardians and alumni to directly connect with the candidates during the search and selection process, that may not be possible.  Many candidates will be applying while employed in another role.  For many candidates, even applying to be the JPG President can pose risks, not only to their current role but also to the operations of their current organization.  For those who apply and are not ultimately selected, if even their candidacy becomes public, it can undermine their effectiveness in their current job.  Accordingly, confidentiality may not allow for direct staff, community, student, or donor involvement with final candidates.
