From Hearing Convocation to Giving Convocation
Since its founding, St. John Paul the Great Catholic High School has made convocation a cornerstone of student life. JPG brings in speakers from across the community to challenge, inspire, and encourage students in their pursuit of truth, virtue, and purpose. What began with just 25 freshmen has grown into a thriving school of 175 students, a testament to the strength of the mission and the desire among families for a classical Catholic education in the Denver area. In just one month, we will celebrate another milestone as 35 seniors prepare to graduate, marking the continued growth and momentum of our school.
Now, as these seniors prepare to leave JPG, something remarkable has taken place. The very students who have spent years listening, learning, and being formed are now stepping forward to lead. In recent weeks, our seniors have taken the mic during convocation to share their own powerful testimonies with underclassmen. These moments reflect the heart of what makes St. John Paul the Great unique: students are formed to think deeply, live with purpose, and ultimately witness to others. As we look ahead, this tradition continues to build, reinforcing JPG as a place where students are shaped not just for college, but for lives of leadership, service, and faith.
