A Historic Milestone: Ribbon Cutting and Blessing of Phase II

This past Monday, August 12th, marked a historic moment in the life of St. John Paul the Great Catholic High School. The entire JPG community—students, families, faculty, benefactors, and friends—came together to celebrate the ribbon cutting and blessing of our highly anticipated Phase II expansion. This event was not just a celebration of a new building; it was a testament to the growth and future of our school.

The ceremony began with our junior class leading the way, breaking through a wall into the new facility! Their act of literally "breaking new ground" was a powerful metaphor for the leadership and spirit they embody at JPG. As they guided the community into the new auditorium, we were awestruck by the beautiful natural light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows—a stunning design feature that captures the essence of openness and inspiration represented in this new space.

Our president, Steve Pries, delivered opening remarks that resonated with everyone in attendance. He spoke passionately about the vision and mission of JPG, emphasizing that this expansion is only the beginning of our journey to "build greatness." Mr. Pries expressed profound gratitude to the parents and donors whose generosity made this dream a reality, highlighting their crucial role in shaping the future of our students and our school.

The ribbon cutting and blessing of our new expansion is more than just a milestone; it’s a promise of the exciting things to come at JPG. This new phase is set to be a vibrant hub of activity, prayer, learning, and growth, and we are thrilled to see how it will enhance the experiences of our students and community.

We invite you to view our photo gallery below and stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build on this momentum and create even more opportunities for our students to thrive.

Together, we are truly building greatness at JPG, and this is just the beginning!
